| 内容記述 | 高齢者の多くは、自宅で最後まで暮らしたいと願っているが、家族に介護の苦労をさせることにためらいもあり、介護保険施設への入所を申し込む人もいる。しかし、高齢期は、すぐさま要介護期ではなく、むしろ大部分は介護を必要としない。今後、「在宅」と「介護施設」という選択だけではなく、さまざまな事情により在宅で暮らせない高齢者や自立して生活しようとする高齢者への多様な住まいの施策は、より一層必要となるだろう。 そこで、団塊の世代を中心に高齢期の住まい方についてヒアリング調査を行った。団塊の世代に注目したのは、その数の多さゆえに、介護に大きな需要をもたらし、社会から大きな関心をもたれると考えたからである。 ヒアリング調査の結果、(1)住まい方は自己で選択する、(2)家族とは時々楽しい時間を送りたい、(3)地域や友人と交流したい、(4)介護や施設などの情報が欲しいの 4点が見出された。これらの点について考察したい。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | While many elderly people wish to live at home to the end of their lives, some of them apply for admission to long-term care insurance facilities due to reservation regarding the financial burden to their families. However, most people at a late stage of life do not require long-term care. In addition to the alternatives of either "home care" or "care facilities", other housing situations for the elderly unable to live at home for various reasons, or willing to live independently will be increasingly needed in the future. Thus, we conducted a survey on late-life living situations among baby boomers. The reason we focused on baby boomers was that their sheer number could create a great demand for long-term care, and attract considerable attention from society. The survey identified four needs: (1) I will choose how to live myself, (2) I want to occasionally have a pleasant time with the family, (3) I want to interact with the community and friends, and (4) I need information about long-term care, and facilities available. This paper discusses these needs. | |||||||||||
