| 内容記述 | 明治以降の近代化の流れの中で、西洋からの輸入という形で行われて来た日本の社会福祉は、その歴史的過程において宗教性ということを切り捨てて来た経緯がある。しかしながら、本来人間の存在は、その構造上宗教と無縁でいられることは不可能に近い。そして社会福祉の領域も、人間に関わる活動である以上、宗教性と無縁であることは出来ないはずである。その様な問題意識から、大正期以降、「仏教社会福祉学」という分野が成立し、様々な議論がなされて来た。本論は、宗教、なかでも仏教を主軸に添え、人間存在におけるその大きな意味を考察する。そして、私たちの生活世界において宗教としての仏教は、人間一人一人に対して「垂直に」関わるという仮設を提出する。その上で、仏教が社会福祉原論へ貢献することを示唆する。本論は、仏教社会福祉学序論とも言うべき、仏教と社会福祉との関係性について焦点を当てて模索する一つの試論である。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Since the Meiji era, the Japanese social welfare has been based on ideas taken from Western culture. It was thought this borrowing of ideas that the religious aspect of Japanese society became less prominent. However, it is virtually impossible for human beings to live without religion due to their natural disposition. It was also necessary for social welfare to have a strong connection with its religions. Therefore, a number of scholars introduced Buddhist social welfare studies during the Taisho era. This paper deals mainly with the importance of religions for human beings, in particular Buddhism. My hypothesis shows that Buddhism as a religion relates "vertically" to each person in our daily lives. Through this viewpoint, I suggest Buddhism can contribute to the basic principles of the social welfare. This paper focuses on the relationship between Buddhism and the social welfare as an introduction to Buddhist social welfare studies. | |||||||||||
